Isn't it seals, the small light objects on the shore? Or is it just round stones? I guess there are no seals in the lochs and lakes.

After some Google-MAP search, and http://www.viamichelin.com/ search, I can see that there is a narrow gorge or something from Loch Glendhu to the fiords on the other side of Kylesku, so I can figure that seals easily come into Loch Glendhu but the water may be a mixture of sweet and some seawater entering when winds are from West (which is often the case!) "brakvand" in Danish, sweetwater or maybe brackish water in English.

I forgot: The problem was to see wether it was land or a bridge dividing the inner Loch Glendhu from the Western waters at Kylesku; The Micheling map had written "Kylesku Bridge" at the narrow passage - but it was hard to find:-))
