I remember a Wales-citizen who told us to drive that way (right) and then we came to a Walisian town with Roman amphitheatre made of wood (which had rotted away, of course) and a bath which was restored and made into a museum. There were Romans everywhere! But what bugs me is that the amphitheatres are not only circus entertainment but sometimes too bloody cruel. It does not fit in harmony with the expression "Pax Romana".
